Church of St Andrew
The Church of St Andrew is the oldest building in the village and people have been worshipping there since the 12th Century. It is a beautiful church which stands in the centre of the village, surrounded by a spacoius churchyeard with views of the rolling hills of Hampshire all around. The Church of St Andrew was extended by the Victorians in 1870 and more recently it has undergone a re-ordering and this has included the installation of cloakroom and kitchen facilities and the creation of a Heritage Room for small group meetings.St Andrew's church was judged the Best Village Church for the Community by 'Country Life' magazine in 2009. To mark and celebrate winning this Award, a seat was installed on the newly refurbished village green and a window inside the church was etched by the glass engraver and portrait painter Philip Lawson Johnson. This etching depicts important landmarks around the village.
St Andrew's church is a focal point of the village.
