David, as a representative of “Villages Oppose Warehouses”, a body set up to counter a proposal to convert 80 acres of Lodge Farm, at Junction 5 of the M3, into a warehouse distribution hub will attend the PC Meeting on Monday 8 January. 

The next stage of this Application is expected to be submitted to Hart sometime next month. 

What might not be so obvious, however, is the scale of the collateral damage that this scheme, if approved, would inflict on neighbouring parishes and access to connecting highways.

We believe that your next Full Council meetings are set for 8 Jan (S Warnborough). We would be pleased to address your meeting with a very short presentation (no more than 5 minutes) on what is being proposed and the importance of affected parishes making their views known to Hart. We don’t envisage attendance by more than 3 of our representatives. We would, naturally, be willing to accept questions.
