HR758w - B3349 Alton Road - South Warnborough - Carriageway Surface Repairs

The works are currently programmed for Monday 11^th March 2024 and are expected to last up to 5 days. These works will take place under temporary traffic lights.

Carriageway surfacing repairs will follow the kerbing and drainage repairs and are currently programmed to start Wednesday 20^th March 2024 and are expected to last up to 6 days, during which time the road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 07:30 – 19:30hrs. The road will be open in the evenings and weekends.

The works will be split into three phases to aid access as shown below:

Phase one: Between Blounce Farm to Kings Motor Services for approximately 2 days.
Phase two: Between the post office to Granary Court industrial park adjacent to the 30/50mph speed limit change for approximately 2 days.
Phase three: 190m south of the Junction with Hayley Lane, north to Hayley Lane, approximately 1 day.

Following completion of these works, minor cover repairs will take place throughout the village for 1 day under temporary traffic control.

Whilst there is an allowance within the time periods shown above for delays, there may be times when we have to postpone works at very short notice; based on the latest weather forecasts, this can occur just prior to works commencing.

We will always look to provide up to date information wherever we can, but sometimes these last minute decisions can be difficult to relay to the travelling public in a timely manner. When we can, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on yellow sign boards/ illuminated signage located at the works limits.

For your safety and that of our workforce, we are unable to guarantee vehicular access to and from your property during the road closure. Should you need to make an essential journey, please contact a member of the workforce on site in advance and they will be able to advise if they can accommodate your request. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
